PRIVATE WEALTH | ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA

Greater wealth brings greater opportunity—and greater complexity.

As wealth grows, financial decisions rarely remain confined to an investment portfolio.

Multiple accounts and entities. Trusts. Business interests. Real estate. Concentrated investments. Charitable intentions. Significant tax considerations. Children and grandchildren with different needs and responsibilities.

Each adds another dimension to your family's decisions.

Fountain Wealth Partners provides a Private Wealth relationship for families who benefit from deeper planning, investment management, and professional coordination across their complete financial picture.

The objective is not to make wealth more complicated. It is to make the complexity more manageable.

THE COMPLEXITY OF WEALTH

At a certain point, the challenge is no longer simply accumulating more.

Financial success creates choices:

  • Portfolio purpose: How much should remain invested for growth? How much can you comfortably spend?
  • Risk & tax positioning: Should assets be repositioned to reduce risk or improve tax efficiency? How should trusts and other entities fit into the investment strategy?
  • Lifetime giving & security: Should you begin transferring wealth during your lifetime? How much can you give without affecting your own financial security?
  • Next-generation preparation: How should children or grandchildren be prepared for the responsibilities that accompany an inheritance?

And perhaps most importantly: Is everything working together?

These questions involve far more than investment performance.

They involve the intersection of your investments, taxes, estate plan, cash flow, family, business interests, charitable intentions, and the legacy you ultimately want to create.

Our role is to help bring those decisions together.

PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT

One family. One financial picture. Many moving parts.

Private Wealth begins with understanding the entirety of your financial life.

That may include:

  • Personal and joint investment accounts
  • Retirement accounts (including traditional/Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, and cash balance pension plans)
  • Trusts and estate-planning structures (revocable, irrevocable, and dynasty trusts)
  • Business ownership and closely held investments
  • Real estate (commercial, residential, and multi-entity investment properties)
  • Concentrated stock positions
  • Stock options or other executive compensation (RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs, and deferred comp)
  • Insurance and risk-management considerations
  • Charitable accounts and foundations (donor-advised funds and private foundations)
  • Family gifting strategies
  • Liabilities and liquidity needs
  • Assets intended for children and future generations

Rather than viewing each independently, we help you understand how they fit together and how decisions involving one part of your wealth may affect another.

That broader perspective becomes the foundation for the advice we provide.

INVESTMENT STRATEGY

Different assets may have different purposes.

A family's investments do not necessarily need to accomplish the same thing.

One account may need to provide current income. Another may be positioned for long-term growth. Trust assets may have different beneficiaries, time horizons, or tax considerations. A concentrated position may require a thoughtful diversification strategy. Assets intended for the next generation may appropriately be invested differently from assets supporting today's lifestyle.

We develop investment strategies around the purpose each part of your wealth is intended to serve while maintaining a coordinated view of the overall family portfolio.

Our investment philosophy combines disciplined research with thoughtful active and passive management, diversification, risk management, cost awareness, and consideration of tax consequences.

The result is not simply a collection of accounts. It is an investment strategy designed around the broader financial plan.

TAX-AWARE PLANNING

What you keep can matter as much as what you earn.

As wealth increases, taxes can become an increasingly important part of financial decision-making.

Investment gains, retirement distributions, business income, concentrated holdings, charitable gifts, Roth conversions, real estate transactions, and the eventual transfer of wealth may each create different tax considerations.

We incorporate those considerations into the planning process. That may include evaluating:

  • Asset location across taxable and retirement accounts
  • Capital gain and loss management (including proactive tax-loss harvesting)
  • Tax implications of portfolio changes
  • Roth conversion opportunities and multi-year sequencing
  • Retirement withdrawal sequencing
  • Concentrated stock diversification
  • Charitable giving strategies (gifting appreciated securities, DAFs, and CRT/CLT vehicles)
  • Timing surrounding significant income or liquidity events
  • Family gifting and wealth-transfer decisions

Fountain Wealth Partners does not prepare tax returns or provide formal tax advice. Instead, we help identify planning opportunities and coordinate with your CPA or other qualified tax professional when their expertise is appropriate.

PROFESSIONAL COORDINATION

Complex wealth should not be managed in separate conversations.

Families with significant wealth often have an established group of professionals.

A CPA may understand your tax situation. An estate attorney understands your estate documents. A business attorney may understand your company. Insurance professionals address specific risks. We understand your financial plan and investment strategy.

The greatest opportunity often exists where those areas intersect.

With your permission, Fountain Wealth Partners works collaboratively with your other professionals to help ensure important decisions are evaluated within the context of your complete financial picture:

  • Preparing information for conversations: Developing background analyses and consolidated balance sheet schedules for tax and legal discussions.
  • Identifying interdisciplinary issues: Spotting planning gaps that require the CPA’s or estate attorney's specific legal or tax expertise.
  • Participating in joint strategy sessions: Joining planning discussions to verify that portfolio positioning reflects trust directives and tax strategies.
  • Keeping initiatives moving forward: Providing operational follow-through to ensure agreed-upon strategies are executed across all teams.

We are not seeking to replace the professionals you trust. We help connect them around the family they collectively serve.

(Note: Fountain Wealth Partners provides financial planning and coordination alongside your legal and tax advisors; we don't provide legal services, draft legal documents, or act as an attorney or corporate trustee.)

FAMILY & LEGACY

Eventually, wealth becomes a family conversation.

Creating wealth and transferring wealth require different kinds of decisions.

You may begin asking:

  • How much is enough for us?
  • How much should our children receive—and when?
  • Should we help them today rather than waiting until later?
  • How do we treat children fairly when their circumstances are different?
  • How do we prepare the next generation to manage what they may inherit?
  • What causes or organizations should become part of our legacy?
  • And how do we communicate our intentions without allowing money to become the defining feature of our family?

There is no formula for answering those questions.

We help families evaluate the financial implications of their choices and, when appropriate, facilitate conversations about family wealth, charitable priorities, stewardship, and the responsibilities that accompany an inheritance.

Working alongside your estate attorney and tax professionals, we also help coordinate the financial pieces of the estate strategy—including account ownership, beneficiary designations, investment positioning, liquidity needs, charitable intentions, and family priorities.

  • Facilitating joint strategy sessions: Preparing background analyses and agendas for planning discussions with your CPA and estate attorney.
  • Verifying implementation: Ensuring trust structures are properly funded and beneficiary designations match legal directives.
  • Keeping initiatives moving: Providing the operational follow-through needed to implement agreed-upon strategies across all advisory teams.
WHEN BUSINESS WEALTH BECOMES FAMILY WEALTH

The wealth you created in a business eventually needs a personal strategy.

For many successful business owners, a significant portion of family wealth may remain concentrated in the company they spent years building.

A future sale or transition changes more than the balance sheet. It may change your income, taxes, investment strategy, estate plan, charitable opportunities, lifestyle, and what becomes possible for your family.

We help business owners consider those decisions before, during, and after a transition.

For families who have already experienced a business sale or other significant liquidity event, we help develop a thoughtful strategy for investing the proceeds and integrating that new wealth into the family's long-term financial plan.

CONTINUITY

A financial plan should work for both spouses.

In many families, one spouse naturally takes the lead on investments and financial decisions.

That arrangement may work well for decades—until suddenly it does not.

An important part of private wealth planning is making sure both spouses understand the family's financial picture, know the advisory team, and have people they trust to call when circumstances change.

We want both spouses to feel known, informed, and comfortable with the strategy.

If one spouse becomes ill or dies, the surviving spouse should not be left trying to understand a lifetime of financial decisions alone.

The relationships and planning established today can provide valuable continuity when the family needs it most.

A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

Sophisticated does not have to mean impersonal.

Greater wealth often brings greater complexity, but it should not require a relationship that feels institutional.

We believe the best advice begins with knowing the family behind the financial statements.

We want to understand how your wealth was created, what it allows you to enjoy, what concerns you, who depends upon you, the people you want to help, and what you hope remains long after you.

You benefit from the collective experience of an advisory team that includes five CFP® professionals while maintaining a personal relationship with people who know you and your family.

We want to be the team you call before an important financial decision—not simply the firm that manages your investments.

WHO WE SERVE

Private Wealth is designed around complexity, not simply an account balance.

Our Private Wealth relationships are generally most appropriate for families whose financial circumstances involve greater planning and coordination.

That may include families with:

  • Significant investable assets (often $5M+ investable assets, though fit is considered individually)
  • Multiple investment accounts or custodians
  • Trusts or other legal entities
  • Closely held businesses or partnerships
  • Significant real estate holdings
  • Concentrated stock or executive compensation (RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs)
  • Complex retirement-income or multi-year tax considerations
  • Charitable planning objectives and foundations
  • Substantial wealth intended for children or grandchildren
  • Multiple generations participating in family financial decisions

While asset levels are one consideration, complexity and the scope of planning required are equally important in determining whether a Private Wealth relationship is appropriate.

Clear answers regarding private wealth management and our fiduciary engagement

  • What types of financial situations are best suited for private wealth?

Our private wealth relationships are generally designed for families navigating substantial complexity—often involving estates of $5M or more, multi-generational trusts, privately held businesses, executive compensation structures, or complex tax considerations. We evaluate every potential engagement individually based on total planning scope and mutual fit rather than an inflexible asset threshold.

  • How does Fountain Wealth Partners coordinate with our existing CPA and estate attorney?

With your consent, we act as a coordinating partner across your advisory team. We share year-end capital gain and loss reports with your CPA, participate in joint strategy discussions, and verify that asset titling and beneficiary designations align with your estate planning documents. This ensures your advisors are aligned without placing the burden of communication on you.

  • Where are our family's assets held?

Client assets are held in your family's name at leading independent, third-party institutional custodians, Charles Schwab & Co. and Axos. Fountain Wealth Partners never takes custody of client funds. You maintain continuous, direct online access to your accounts, backed by institutional asset segregation and SIPC protection against custodial insolvency (which doesn't protect against market fluctuations).

  • How are advisory fees structured for private wealth relationships?

Fountain Wealth Partners operates on a 100% fee-only model. Wealth management fees are tiered based on assets under management and scale downward as family assets grow. We also offer householding provisions that allow extended family accounts to combine balances to qualify for lower fee tiers. All fees are clearly disclosed and agreed upon in writing before any relationship begins—with zero hidden commissions or third-party markups. Detailed fee information is available upon request and outlined in our Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS disclosures.

When business success becomes personal family wealth

A business sale, recapitalization, or transition impacts far more than the balance sheet. It changes income streams, tax brackets, estate structures, and family goals. We help founders evaluate pre-liquidity modeling, tax mitigation strategies, and post-sale income design before, during, and after an exit.

A financial plan should work for both spouses

In many families, one spouse naturally oversees day-to-day investments. Long-term security requires that both spouses understand the complete balance sheet and know their advisory team.

If one spouse passes away or becomes ill, the surviving spouse should never be left trying to navigate complex accounts and legal structures alone. The planning established today provides clarity and continuity when your family needs it most.

THE FIDUCIARY STANDARD

Sophisticated doesn't have to mean impersonal

Greater wealth brings complexity, but it should never require an institutional, disconnected relationship. We believe the best advice begins with knowing the family behind the balance sheet.

  • 100% fee-only fiduciary standard: Legally bound to act solely in your best interest. No proprietary products, sales commissions, or third-party incentives.
  • Open-architecture investment management: Custom portfolios using active and passive strategies, individual securities, and institutional solutions, designed around your plan.
  • Direct partner-level relationships: Work directly with senior firm leadership and an experienced team that includes five CFP® professionals.
  • Independent institutional custody: Your family assets remain securely held in your name at Charles Schwab & Co. and Axos, providing institutional-grade security and transparency.

Our goal is to be the first call you make whenever an important financial decision arises.
