WHY FOUNTAIN WEALTH PARTNERS
Wealth management should feel both deeply sophisticated and genuinely personal.
As your financial life grows in complexity, you need more than just investment management. You need thoughtful tax planning, coordinated estate architecture, strategic retirement design, and direct access to experienced advisors who know how all the pieces connect.
Yet true sophistication should never come at the expense of a personal relationship.
You deserve to know the people guiding your life's work—and they should take the time to truly know you and your family.
At Fountain Wealth Partners, we bring together the institutional resources of an established wealth management team with the personal care and continuity that have guided North Georgia families for 30 years. As a dedicated, 100% fee-only fiduciary advisor in Alpharetta, our singular focus is protecting your balance sheet and honoring your legacy across generations.
Why software alone falls short: How automated algorithms fail during critical life transitions, tax adjustments, and market volatility.
The four pillars of human wealth management: How direct access to a dedicated senior advisor, 100% fee-only fiduciary independence, comprehensive wealth coordination, and long-term continuity protect your legacy.
What you can expect as a client: The exact written deliverables, fee transparency, and local face-to-face access you gain by partnering with an independent CFP® lead advisor.

We Begin With Your Life, Not Your Portfolio
Before recommending what you should do, we want to understand what you want your wealth to accomplish.
A portfolio does not tell us enough.
We want to understand the life surrounding it.
Your family. Your career or business. What retirement looks like to you. How you spend. What concerns you. Who depends upon you. What you hope to give. And what you eventually want your wealth to make possible.
That understanding becomes the foundation for the advice we provide.
We can then evaluate investments, retirement income, tax considerations, estate priorities, charitable giving, and family decisions within the context of a larger strategy.

We believe your life financial plan should guide the portfolio. Not the other way around.
Bringing every piece of your financial life into one clear picture.
Financial decisions rarely happen in isolation.
A decision to sell an investment may affect taxes. A retirement date may change investment risk and income needs. A Roth conversion may affect taxes and Medicare costs. A business sale may reshape the family's investment, estate, and charitable strategy. A gift to children may affect both today's cash flow and tomorrow's legacy.
That is why we look across the major areas of your financial life rather than treating each as a separate assignment.
Our wealth management relationships can bring together:

The goal is not to introduce unnecessary complexity into your life.
Our goal is to make the complexity of significant wealth feel clear, organized, and manageable.

Five CFP® Professionals. One Dedicated Relationship.

Important financial decisions should never depend upon the perspective or availability of just one person.
While a strong wealth advisory relationship should always feel deeply personal, it should never leave your family vulnerable to a single point of failure.
Fountain Wealth Partners brings together five CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals—David Fountain, Sandee Fricks, Carolyn Flournoy, Joey Hampton, and Jake McTyre. Together, we provide diverse perspectives, deep technical expertise, and total continuity of care.
This collaborative team approach delivers broader resources while building something invaluable:
Lasting Continuity.
As your life and goals evolve, multiple professionals understand your history and financial plan.
If your primary advisor is ever unavailable, you have an entire team ready to step in without missing a beat.
As your relationship with us spans across decades—and eventually into the next generation—the institutional knowledge of your family remains secure.
You have a relationship with an entire team.
And that team is fully committed to you.
100% Fee-Only. 100% Fiduciary.
Your advisor's compensation should be completely transparent and free of hidden conflicts.
Fountain Wealth Partners operates as a 100% fee-only fiduciary wealth management firm.
Our clients pay us directly through disclosed advisory fees. We do not receive commissions, distribution allowances, or third-party compensation for recommending or selling financial products.
That structure helps keep the conversation centered where we believe it belongs:
On what is in your family's best interest.
As a fiduciary, our advisory recommendations are based upon each client's objectives, circumstances, and best interests rather than product incentives.
We discuss fees clearly before a relationship begins so you understand what you are paying and the services the relationship is intended to provide. Our wealth management relationships follow a transparent, tiered asset-based fee schedule with householding provisions, ensuring our interests remain directly aligned with yours as your wealth grows.
Your CPA and attorney should be on the exact same page.
Financial advice is exponentially more powerful when every professional in your corner works in harmony toward the same goals.
Most affluent families already work with trusted advisors: a CPA, an estate planning attorney, a corporate counsel, or an insurance specialist.
We don't replace those relationships.
We believe your wealth advisor should help connect them.
With your permission, Fountain Wealth Partners can collaborate with your other professionals, provide relevant financial information and analysis, identify issues that may deserve their expertise, and incorporate their guidance into the broader financial strategy.
You stay in complete control at the center. Your advisory team simply works together with total clarity.
Fountain Wealth Partners coordinates tax-aware strategies and estate architecture alongside qualified CPAs and estate planning attorneys. The firm does not provide formal legal or tax opinions, draft legal instruments, or act as an attorney or corporate trustee.
Fountain Wealth Partners does not prepare tax returns or provide formal tax advice. Instead, we help identify planning opportunities and coordinate with your CPA or other qualified tax professional when their expertise is appropriate.
Proactive, Not Simply Responsive
Some of the most valuable financial conversations happen before there is a decision to make.
True wealth management isn't about reacting to market headlines or scrambling at tax time. It’s about anticipating what lies ahead:
A retirement several years away. A future business transition. A large required distribution. An approaching Social Security decision. A concentrated stock position. A charitable gift. A potential Roth conversion. An estate plan that has not been reviewed in years. A future inheritance. A desire to begin helping children or grandchildren.
Planning earlier often creates more choices.

Our job is to help you spot opportunities and address decisions before they turn into urgent challenges.
Investment Management With Intention
You should be able to understand why you own what you own.
We believe every part of a portfolio should have a defined purpose.
That purpose may be long-term growth. Retirement income. Capital preservation. Diversification. Inflation protection. Liquidity. Or supporting wealth that may eventually pass to another generation.
Our evidence-based investment philosophy blends rigorous fundamental research with thoughtful active and passive allocation strategies.
We continuously evaluate asset location, risk exposure, expenses, and tax implications to ensure your investments work in lockstep with your financial plan.
We don't chase fads or build unnecessarily complicated structures.
We build resilient portfolios designed to fund your real-world goals
- How much should children know about the family's wealth?
- When should those conversations begin?
- How do you teach financial responsibility without allowing wealth to diminish ambition?
- How should younger family members learn about investing, taxes, charitable giving, and the responsibilities that accompany an inheritance?
30 Years of Guidance in North Georgia
Our firm has grown alongside the families and communities we serve.
Financial Consultants Group began serving clients in North Georgia in 1996.
Thirty years later, that history continues as Fountain Wealth Partners.
Today, under the leadership of President & Owner David Fountain, CFP®, our firm combines that established foundation with an expanded advisory team, five CFP® professionals, a modern wealth management platform, and a growing presence in Alpharetta.
With our established office in Cumming and our Alpharetta office at Deerfield Parkway, we serve families throughout Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, Roswell, Forsyth County, North Fulton, and surrounding communities—as well as clients across the country through our virtual planning capabilities.
Our name has changed. Our capabilities continue to grow. But an important part of our identity remains the same:
Genuine, long-term personal relationships with the families who place their trust in us.

- Keeping initiatives moving: Providing the operational follow-through needed to implement agreed-upon strategies across all advisory teams.
Independent Guidance & Open Architecture
We are not here to sell a company's financial products.
As an independent advisory firm, Fountain Wealth Partners can evaluate investment strategies and financial solutions based on what we believe is appropriate for the client, rather than a proprietary product requirement.
DEPENDING UPON THE CIRCUMSTANCES, PORTFOLIOS MAY INCLUDE A COMBINATION OF ACTIVE AND PASSIVE STRATEGIES, INSTITUTIONAL INVESTMENT APPROACHES, INDIVIDUAL SECURITIES, FIXED INCOME, EXCHANGE-TRADED FUNDS, MUTUAL FUNDS, AND OTHER DIVERSIFYING INVESTMENTS.
Client assets remain in the client's name at independent qualified custodians, including Charles Schwab & Co. and Axos.
This structure lets us focus on advice and the relationship while client assets remain with established independent financial institutions.
We care about the people behind the numbers.
A family's financial life cannot be distilled into an account summary.
Numbers are important. But behind those numbers are people.
A spouse who may view money differently than you do. Children finding their own paths. Grandchildren arriving. Parents growing older. A business you spent decades building. Organizations you want to support. A retirement you have imagined for years.
We want to understand those things because they give financial decisions meaning.
That is also why we encourage relationships with both spouses and, when appropriate, future generations.
If the unexpected occurs, we make sure your loved ones never have to navigate their financial future with a stranger.

We are here to know your family, support your values, and walk alongside you.
We Will Not Always Tell You to Do More
Sometimes good financial advice is knowing when enough is enough.
More return. More savings. More growth. More wealth.
Those may be appropriate objectives at certain stages of life.
But they are not the only objectives.
There may come a point when you have accumulated enough.
Enough to retire. Enough to travel. Enough to help your children. Enough to give generously. Enough to take less investment risk. Enough to stop worrying about whether every financial decision maximizes the account balance.
At that point, the role of wealth management begins to change.
The question becomes less about “How much more can we accumulate?” and more about:
“What can the wealth we have already created allow us to do?”
We believe good financial advice should help answer both questions.
What Working Together Should Feel Like

Sophisticated enough for your financial life. Personal enough for your family.
We want you to feel that your financial life is organized. That someone is looking ahead. That investment decisions have a reason. That your other professionals can communicate with us. That both spouses know whom to call. That important decisions can be discussed before they are made. That you can ask a question without wondering whether it is “important enough.” And that when life changes, you have people who already understand the financial picture.
We cannot remove uncertainty from markets, taxes, life, or the future.
But we can provide the disciplined framework, thoughtful guidance, and personal care you need to move forward with complete peace of mind.
Our 3-Step Advisory Onboarding Roadmap
Getting started with Fountain Wealth Partners is a structured, collaborative, and pressure-free process designed to bring total clarity to your wealth before any formal commitment:

Step 1: Discovery & Life Alignment
We begin with an introductory conversation to understand your values, life milestones, family dynamics, and current balance sheet. This step allows us to determine mutual fit and outline the primary planning opportunities across your wealth.
Step 2: Diagnostic Assessment & Custom Roadmap
Our advisory team reviews your tax returns, investment holdings, retirement distribution timelines, and estate structures. We deliver a comprehensive diagnostic assessment identifying tax-aware strategies, allocation adjustments, and coordinated estate enhancements.
Step 3: Fiduciary Implementation & Professional Synchronization
Once you approve your custom roadmap, we transition assets smoothly to independent qualified custodians (Charles Schwab & Co. or Axos), execute your investment strategy, and connect directly with your CPA and estate attorney to establish unified wealth coordination.
- Successful professionals and corporate executives in their peak earning years navigating complex compensation structures.
- Individuals and couples approaching retirement with substantial investment assets seeking clear, tax-aware retirement cash-flow strategies.
- Retirees managing the wealth accumulated over a lifetime with an emphasis on sustainable income and capital preservation.
- Current and former business owners connecting business value, pre-liquidity planning, and succession with personal wealth goals.
- Families navigating inheritance or significant liquidity events requiring multi-layered tax and investment coordination.
- Widows and surviving spouses assuming greater responsibility for family finances and seeking a dedicated, long-term guide.
- Families thinking intentionally about the wealth they will eventually transfer to children, grandchildren, and charitable causes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a fee-only advisor and a fee-based advisor?
A "fee-only" advisor is compensated exclusively by disclosed advisory fees paid directly by the client. Fee-only firms are legally and structurally prohibited from accepting product commissions, 12b-1 mutual fund distribution fees, sales loads, or third-party referral kickbacks.
In contrast, "fee-based" (hybrid) advisors charge a management fee but also hold broker-dealer or insurance licenses that allow them to earn commissions on products such as annuities, proprietary funds, or insurance policies. Fountain Wealth Partners is strictly 100% fee-only, ensuring our guidance remains completely objective and aligned with your best interests.
What does it mean for Fountain Wealth Partners to act as our "Financial Quarterback"?
Most affluent families work with several independent professionals—a CPA, an estate attorney, an insurance broker, and an investment manager. However, these professionals rarely coordinate with one another, resulting in tax blind spots, outdated beneficiary designations, and fragmented portfolio decisions.
As your Financial Quarterback, Fountain Wealth Partners collaborates proactively with your CPA and estate attorney throughout the year. We provide the financial data and modeling they need, ensure tax strategies and estate documents are synchronized with your investment portfolio, and keep your entire professional team aligned around your overarching family goals.
What is the asset minimum to work with Fountain Wealth Partners?
Many of our wealth management relationships begin with $1 million or more in investable assets, which allows us to deliver our full scope of integrated financial planning, tax-aware portfolio management, and professional coordination.
For families, executives, and business owners with $5 million or more in investable assets—or complex balance sheets involving trusts, private entities, and multi-generational considerations—our Private Wealth service provides an elevated level of bespoke stewardship. We evaluate fit on an individual basis and welcome an introductory conversation to determine how we can best serve your family.
How are client advisory fees structured?
Fountain Wealth Partners charges a transparent, tiered annual advisory fee calculated as a percentage of assets managed under our care. As your managed household assets cross higher tier thresholds, the incremental advisory fee rate decreases.
We do not charge commissions, administrative markups, or hidden transaction fees. All fees are clearly disclosed in writing before any relationship begins.
Where are my assets held?
To ensure safety, transparency, and institutional oversight, client assets are held in the client's own name at independent, qualified custodians, primarily Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and Axos Clearing LLC. Fountain Wealth Partners never takes direct custody of your funds or securities. You maintain continuous, independent online access to your accounts, statements, and tax reporting directly through the custodian.
